That very issue top of the agenda at Senate Estimates this morning, where the Reserve Bank Governor, Michelle Bullock, was grilled for over an hour. Does the RBA accept its share of responsibility for how high property prices are in Australia? I would not accept that the Reserve Bank is responsible for the housing price issues in this country. The RBA boss also revealing the government's 5% deposit scheme will likely push house prices up, at least in the short term. Will everyone rush in and immediately go and take 95% loan devaluation ratios? I'm actually not sure they will. Some will. And tonight, internal dramas here at Parliament House. Former Wallaby turned Senator David Pocock revealing he's been kicked out of the Parliament Sports Club after speaking out over its links to gambling. Which pay a corporate membership to be part of the club. Even parliamentary sport is being leveraged by the gambling industry. It comes as the government continues to deliberate on whether it will ban gambling advertising. We've had a Prime Minister who, I think almost single-handedly, has held up that progress. David Pocock being David Pocock, getting himself in a story. I would say that pointing out the links between the gambling lobby and Parliament and his government is actually quite an important issue.
