The tomb of Amenhotep III, one of ancient Egypt's most prominent pharaohs, has reopened to the public after over 20 years of restoration work. Located in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, the tomb was discovered empty, with only the broken lid of the sarcophagus remaining. 

Restoration efforts, led by a Japanese team, focused on preserving the tomb's notable wall paintings, which are considered among the finest from the 18th dynasty. The reopening is part of Egypt's broader initiative to boost tourism, coinciding with the upcoming inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
