Authorities say he had no right to land there and he submitted false flight plan data. But Guo and his legal team shared this message exchange, which they say proves he had clearance. Facing prison time, he reached a deal with prosecutors to donate $30,000 to a cancer research foundation, which in theory allows him to head home. When do you think you're going to leave? To be completely honest, I'm not too sure. You know, the plane is flyable, the plane is free. I am free, but they're not letting me leave. Chile's aviation authority says the Cessna has expired life rafts and life jackets and that it may not have enough fuel, something Guo denied. After several years of hard work and a whole lot of setback, I'm finally setting off for my flight around the world. Guo has been documenting his journey on social media to more than a million followers. On a nice early morning to finally leave Malaysia. Inside the military base, he says he spends 23 hours inside his room, has to be escorted to walk around the base and has lost over 20 pounds because he says his food is rationed. I'm not here to complain, but it's not very nutritious. It's just predominantly carbs and beans. There are no commercial flights to the island until after winter and there are few options by sea in what is known to be some of the most treacherous waters in the world.
