The initiative aims to cut the price of the drug by up to 80 percent, addressing the high costs that many couples face when seeking fertility treatments. Currently, a single dose of Gonal F can cost around $2,400, and a single round of IVF may exceed $25,000, often requiring multiple rounds.

The discounted medication is expected to be available through the Trump Rx program starting in early 2026. This move is part of a broader effort to make IVF treatments more accessible to the estimated one in six to one in eight couples experiencing fertility issues.

They'll be for the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other members of the agency. Reports from the Washington Post say the purchase will cost the government $200 million. The department says those jets were needed for security reasons and will replace an older jet. House Democrats sent a letter to Noem questioning the taxpayers role in the sale.
