We spoke to Border Czar Tom Homan. How does this change the operation on the ground? National Guard, they're always on the table, right, but right now it's a surge of law enforcement officers. And look, the president was clear on that two months ago. He said he's going to prioritize enforcement in sanctuary cities. Local leaders in the Windy City are pushing back. Peace was never about arresting the worst of the worst. It's been about terrorizing our communities, but we will not be intimidated. Today Trump questioned why Chicago is not asking the federal government for more help to combat crime. I don't know why Chicago isn't calling us saying, please give us help. When you have over just a short period of time, 50 murders and hundreds of people shot, and then you have a governor that stands up and says how crime is just fine. But a new analysis from the CBS News data team found violent crime in Chicago is currently down 20 percent compared to the same period last year, which includes a 31 percent decrease in homicides and 16 percent decline in aggravated assaults. In Massachusetts, the governor objected to any federal intervention. A lot of this has to do with political theater and attempts to distract from Trump's failing agenda. Tonight the White House is responding to that Supreme Court ruling that lifts restrictions on roving ICE raids in Los Angeles, saying it reaffirms that, quote, lower activist judges are trying to impede the president from lawfully carrying out the American people's agenda.
