Salesforce is set to release its Q3 earnings report, with attention on the adoption of its AI agents, which CEO Mark Benioff claims can automate tasks and improve efficiency. While early customer wins have been noted, investors are seeking more substantial evidence of widespread business integration.

Analysts have reported cautious feedback from Salesforce partners regarding the scale of AI adoption, and the company faces growing competition from other software providers. There is also speculation about a potential partnership with Google following Benioff's public praise of Google's Gemini 3.

What to expect from Salesforce's Q3 earnings report

Earl and Sarah's CEO, Mark Benioff, has been championing this idea, right, that Salesforce's AI agents can automate tasks, make businesses more efficient, and in some cases, replace human talent. And while the company has had a number of early customer wins, like Williams-Somnoma, FedEx, investors tonight want more concrete evidence of adoption, examples of how businesses are integrating these agents. City analyst Tyler Radke spoke to three Salesforce partners recently, and he walked away with what he calls cautious feedback, noting smaller initial commitments from customers, limited anecdotes of agent-forced use cases. Beyond AI, there are a lot of competitors trying to steal market share from Salesforce's core software business, like Monday.com, ZoomInfo, even Snowflake. Gil Luria, a DA at Davidson, says he'll be looking for clues as to how Benioff is navigating this threat. And guys, there's also some chatter about whether Benioff's recent social media posts in which he praised Google's Gemini 3 is a preview of some sort of deal or partnership in the works between Google and Salesforce, so we'll keep an eye on that and more.
