However, reports indicate that police and military maintain a roadblock and have restricted access to his residence, with Wine himself claiming his home has been occupied and surveillance disrupted. 

President Yoweri Museveni accused the opposition of attempting to destabilize the country and warned of consequences for continued unrest. While daily life in the capital has largely resumed, security remains heightened in areas known for opposition support, which authorities describe as routine measures.

We've tried to go there. Police are standing guard. There is a roadblock. Party officials tried to bring some food supplies to the family but the police say no. They say they are consulting. We've also spoken to Bobby Wine who is still in hiding. I would love to be in my home. I've not changed my clothes in days. I want to be home. I want to be free. I want to take care of my people but the military and police have taken over my home. They've vandalized my gate. They are in charge of my gate. They've cut the padlocks. They've cut power at my house. They've cut off surveillance cameras at my house so they've more or less colonized my home. President Yoweri Museveni has also reacted to the election. He says that the opposition led by Bobby Wine wanted to destabilize the country and cause chaos. So therefore I congratulate the people of Uganda. I ask the confused people to come back to sanity because what they wanted to do we already know and we have already demobilized the together with the people much of it the residue should stop because we we we know we shall we shall get we shall get all of them if they don't stop. In the city things are back to normal. People are going about their business but there's still a heavy security presence in some parts particularly areas that are considered opposition strongholds.
