A serious traffic accident occurred on Bungarabee Road in Blacktown, New South Wales, when a maroon Honda turned into the path of a white Toyota, causing the Toyota to spin and strike three pedestrians. The victims, all employees of Alliance SI, sustained significant injuries and required urgent transfer to Westmead major trauma hospital for surgery, despite Blacktown Hospital being nearby.

Bystanders provided immediate assistance at the scene, and both drivers involved, aged in their 20s and 30s, were taken in for questioning and testing but were not injured. Authorities are investigating the role of speed and traffic control signals in the incident.

It's sent spinning, cleaning up all three Alliance SI employees. Too graphic to show upon impact. One person is flung several metres down the footpath. Another slamming face first into this glass window pane. The other man's head right onto this brick corner. Bystanders frightened out of their chairs before rushing to their aid. Some man, he had some bleeding from his head. So I asked some people from the restaurant just there to get some towels to stop the bleeding. I saw a guy, they're trying to revive it right next to that shop. There was blood everywhere, broken bones. I just tried to hold the guy's hand and keep him calm until the ambulance got here. Despite Blacktown Hospital being just 500 metres away, the tradie's range of injuries was so bad, they had to be taken to major trauma hospital Westmead for surgery. The first pedestrian suffered injuries to his head, abrasions to his head. Second had a number of injuries all over his body, so to the lower legs, grazing to the chest area. The third patient had a fracture to his lower legs. Taking out traffic lights too, the Toyota came to rest on its side. The men behind each wheel aged in their 20s and 30s taken in for questioning and testing. They were assessed on scene by ambulance paramedics and not deemed as injured. That will form part of the investigation speed and the traffic control signals at that intersection. Olivia Blunden, 10 News.
