This chemical complex has caused a lot of pollution and many cases of suffocation recently. We also support the demands of the people of Gabez, who reject the numerous arrests in their city and call for the release of those detained. Social, economic and environmental problems can't be solved by arresting people and using police force against them. Everyone here says that the right of the people of Gabez to a healthy environment and a dignified life is legitimate and has been demanded by the masses for years, not just now. The authorities quoted the president of Tunisia as saying that urgent solutions are being sought as part of a comprehensive strategy for the city and other cities in Tunisia. But this didn't satisfy the protesters, who don't want promises, they want real solutions.
