The remote village of Imi N'Tala in the High Atlas Mountains, southwest of Marrakech, was nearly completely destroyed by the earthquake that hit late Friday.  Time is running out for rescuers to find any survivors.

We've reached the village of Imantala high up in the Atlas Mountains after a difficult, very long three-hour drive up from Marrakesh, and the damage here is the worst that we've seen. Just have a look around. Everything is absolutely crushed. Not a building is standing. And if you come up behind me here, an entire slab of the mountain, huge boulders, but really just the entire side of the mountain has fallen down, crushing buildings, homes where people were sleeping in. And obviously the work of getting underneath that, it's really hard to comprehend how they're going to do it. But over here, you've got crews that have finally arrived from overseas. There's teams from Britain, there's teams from Qatar, there's teams from Spain, and they've got sniffer dogs, and they're going through that, still hoping to find some signs of life. Local officials told us that already 100 people in this village alone have died, and there may be another 10 more in some of these buildings that need to be recovered. But time really is running out. We're approaching the 72-hour mark. The earthquake hit Friday night, so anyone who's buried wouldn't have had access to water for that time. And that really is a threshold that search crews try to keep in mind, because after that, the odds of survival drop off exponentially.
