Le Cordon Bleu, a prestigious culinary institute with over 130 years of history, has announced its expansion into Abu Dhabi. The new school will be situated in Sadiat Grove, within the capital's cultural district, surrounded by contemporary museums and art venues.

The institute, which began as a small cookery school in Paris, now operates in more than 20 countries and graduates nearly 20,000 students annually from over 100 nationalities. Le Cordon Bleu aims to blend classic French culinary heritage with local influences, continuing its tradition of innovation and excellence in culinary education.

Sadiat Island is unique, and the location of the cultural district is one of a kind. So the future is there, and it is the right moment for Le Cordon Bleu to open a culinary institute there. I think there's never been a better time. Chef Emil has been tasked with helping to set up a new culinary school in the UAE. The space will be part of a new community, centred in the cultural district, called Sadiat Grove. Being surrounded by all these contemporary museums and places of arts, there is a pressure on us to be as innovative as we can be, to be as creative as we can be, and that's part of what we do. The institute has been cooking up innovative dishes and training students for over a century. Often it's in the season. I'm telling you things based on what we taste. Le Cordon Bleu started as a small cookery school in central Paris. Since then we have been involved a lot, to the extent that we are now in 20 countries and we have more than 35 schools. Close to 20,000 students graduate every year from more than 100 different nationalities. What we do is based on the classic French culinary heritage, however throughout the years we have adapted and brought this to different parts of the world, but we also learn ourselves and embrace different culinary heritages as well. We have a saying in Le Cordon Bleu, bring your passion, bring your desire, we will teach you the rest. The presentation is great, you eat with your eyes, but flavours are more important.
