And this as concerns continue to grow over the tactics employed by federal immigration officials. This is the moment federal immigration agents broke into Gloria Batista Magana's home in Portland last week. She was not home, but says the agents were searching for someone named Israel. No one by that name lives in her home. The agents instead detained her 20-year-old son and partner, ICED her in the country illegally. Your son and your partner, do they have a criminal record? No. No. No. Not even a ticket, you're saying? No. Please identify yourself. Stop watching TikTok. We don't have to identify ourselves. The raid at Magana's apartment has added to growing concerns over the tactics employed by the federal agents carrying out President Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration. Those concerns have led to protests across the country, including outside the ICE facility in Portland. Overnight, tensions escalated there as Homeland Security officials deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd. What about the concern and the criticism that your agency's tactics have become too aggressive? We use the force necessary to effect an arrest. If people interpret that as being aggressive, so be it.
