King pleaded guilty to stabbing the mother of four to death with a kitchen knife inside their St Mary's home two years ago. This was a man who at his core was angry, angry a woman he had spent 14 years with, four children, was going to leave him. While the Crown argued the murder was unprovoked, his anger had been growing for days. His defence counsel said he had tried to get help, dialling 000 the night before. He'd been off antidepressants for two weeks. Tragically, police did not attend their house. That's now the subject of a critical incident investigation. Police were today not willing to comment while the case was still before the courts. This tragedy has rocked King's family too. Is there any comment at all? No comment. We're alright, thank you.
