U.S. immigration agents arrested 475 people at the site, most of whom were South Korean nationals, on suspicion of living and working in the country illegally. 

An agreement between South Korea and the United States was reached to allow the detainees to leave the U.S. voluntarily rather than face deportation. This arrangement means the individuals may be eligible to return to the United States at a later date, according to the South Korean foreign ministry.

The video was released since the raid showed workers being handcuffed and ankle cuffed, rounded up and put on buses. The U.S. officials said the arrested workers were suspected of living and working in the country illegally. It is, however, unclear what type of visa those arrested had or whether any of them overstayed it. Over the weekend, Seoul and Washington reached an agreement over the repatriation of the detainees. The South Korean foreign ministry said it did not want its citizens to be deported but to leave the country voluntarily, meaning that they could potentially re-enter the U.S. at a later date.

The Trump administration launched a new immigration enforcement operation in Chicago, saying the latest federal crackdown in a US city would target the "worst of the worst criminals." But activists in the city remain defiant and say they will resist efforts by ICE to snatch people off the streets.
