Iloski netted 10 goals in less than two months, highlighted by a four-goal performance against Vancouver that earned him MLS Man of the Match Day honors. 

Efforts to extend Iloski's loan for the remainder of the season were unsuccessful, as the player expressed a preference to return to Europe. Club officials and teammates expressed their appreciation for Iloski's contributions and emphasized the team's readiness to move forward with other players stepping up.

San Diego FC is losing one of its leading scorers. Escondido native Milan Oloski is returning to SDFC's sister club in Denmark after a highly successful loan that saw Oloski score 10 goals in less than two months playing in front of hometown fans at Snapdragon Stadium. The move comes after an unsuccessful attempt to extend the loan through the rest of the MLS season. ABC 10 News sports director Ben Higgins was at the team facility today when the team parted ways with Oloski and got the immediate reaction from coaches and players. For many clubs losing a top scorer like Milan Oloski at this stage of the season would be considered a devastating blow. But under head coach Mikey Varas SDFC has developed a next man up mentality and seemingly the ability to roll with the punches. It's nothing we haven't been facing. Life goes on for SDFC even without a player who provided a huge lift when he arrived from the team's sister club in Denmark. Oloski's 10 goals included a four-goal game against Vancouver that earned him MLS Man of the Match Day honors. So how does a player like that get away? According to club officials Oloski preferred a return to Europe rather than staying in San Diego. He came here on loan on short-term loan. We worked diligently to make it long-term. We couldn't come to an agreement and we wanted to respect Milan's wishes also to go test himself back in Europe. We wish him nothing but the best and we're just focused on the guys we have now. Players seem to agree with Varas saying the team will need to quickly move forward without Oloski. Obviously sad Milan was a great guy for us and you know he contributed really well. He scored a lot of goals for us as well. Sad to see him leave but then again like we have a lot of good players here so it's time for some other guys to step up and I'm sure they will. Oloski was already held out of the lineup for last Saturday's 2-1 win at Chicago. SDFC returns to action Wednesday night at 730 to host Toronto FC. I'm Ben Higgins ABC 10 News.
