Meanwhile, Maureen Comey, a prosecutor involved in the Epstein case and daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was recently fired under presidential authority. The Department of Justice has not commented on the reason for her dismissal.

Before the election, the president, his current attorney general, Pam Bondi, and FBI director, along with his deputy, fueled conspiracy theories about Epstein's death in prison and rumored client lists the Department of Justice now says doesn't exist. On Wednesday, many vocal Trump supporters pushed back on the president. The Democrats' new scam, I mean, this is more of a Republican issue. Bringing this into the public arena was President Trump. That's a matter of historic record. It's not up for debate. And it's not just conservatives. Jeffrey Epstein's what we're talking about, and we want your calls. Senate Republicans are urging a special counsel be appointed to look into the Epstein matter. The president, when asked about that, said yesterday he has nothing to do with it. Scott, meanwhile, there's a high-profile firing inside the Justice Department. Another one. What do you know about that? Yeah, the prosecutor is Maureen Comey, who's been fired. That name sounds familiar. She is the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, and she handled, in part, the Sean Diddy Combs case and the Jeffrey Epstein case. The Department of Justice would not comment on why Comey was fired. We do know that she was fired under the presidential authority, which means it was done under the president's name, and the president has had some run-ins with James Comey after firing him in 2017, Tony.
