New this morning, a Long Island pastor and Grammy award-winning gospel singer are now being accused of sexual abuse, according to the lawsuit filed this week. Copaic native Donnie McClurkin met the victim Giuseppe Corletto at the Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport in 2003, where McClurkin is still listed as senior pastor. Corletto claims McClurkin sexually assaulted him repeatedly from 2007 to 2015. That includes multiple times at an unnamed Long Island hotel, a Rockville Center park, and McClurkin's Rockville Center home. The lawsuit also includes what appears to be an email from McClurkin to Corletto apologizing for his alleged advances. Corletto is seeking an unspecified amount of monetary damages from McClurkin in that lawsuit. We reached out to the Perfecting Faith Church for comment. We're waiting for a response.
