Residents have been filmed scrambling to buy supplies in Chengdu after authorities issued a snap lockdown for its 21 million residents. Locals were given less than six hours notice prompting panic buying and shelves to be emptied in the latest attempt by Chinese authorities to maintain its 'COVID-zero' policy.
