Green Bay Packers training camp is about to begin, offering fans a chance to see their favorite players up close without breaking the bank.

Green Bay is seeing an influx of Packers fans as the team opens its training camp. Admission and parking at Lambeau Field are free, and fans are advised to arrive early for optimal viewing, especially to see players like Jordan Love and rookie Matthew Golden ride bikes to practice. While outside food is not allowed inside the practice area, tailgating is permitted in the parking lot, offering fans an alternative for meals. 

Visitors, including families traveling from out of state, are planning to make the most of the experience by arriving early, staying hydrated, and enjoying the friendly atmosphere. A full schedule of open practices is available online, and the event is expected to draw large crowds throughout the week.

Packers fans excited for training camp to open

I'm Brennan Jones here in Green Bay. Kids, get your bikes out. The Packers are about to start training camp, meaning they're one step closer to playing on Sundays. Your favorite players from Jordan Love to rookie first round pick Matthew Golden will be on this field. So I'm here to tell you how you can score the best experience with your wallet in mind. The first thing you need to know, admission to the facility and parking lots outside of Lambeau Field are free. If you want a good viewing location, fans are encouraged to get here around 9.30. That's when players ride down to practice on kids' bikes. Those first practice whistles blow at 10.30. You can bring in a water bottle to practice, but outside food won't be allowed. However, you can tailgate in the parking lot. So if you don't want to buy food at practice, that might be your best bet. Julie Pomeroy and her son Aiden traveled here from Minnesota to see camp this week. They say they already have their plan. Yeah, we're definitely gonna try to come early, put sunscreen on, find a good spot, be able to get some pictures by the field, and hopefully be able to see our favorite players. And just being able to be here for the energy. People are really friendly. It's an experience. You don't just come for the game. You come to meet people, you come to cheer them on, and it's just a good experience. With the potential for hot weather this week, you're gonna want to keep hydration in mind if you come out to camp.
