We are talking about these heavy winds, the downpours, they're all across the Southland. Mario Ramirez live in Altadena, where people are on alert there. Mario, good morning. Bob, good morning. That's right. We're just below the Eden Fire burn scar. It has been raining nonstop since we started Good Day L.A. here about an hour ago, and it is coming down. Just take a look at how powerful, how strong this runoff is, and I'll have you listen to it here. Yeah, that's just some of what we're seeing here along Loma Alta Drive. So you can expect it to be a mess today, and look at those K-rails here lined up in this neighborhood to try and deter any mud and debris that comes down from the hillsides here, keep it away from homes. Now, we can tell you that a flood watch is in effect through Thursday evening for much of L.A. County, including Foothill and mountain communities like this one, where recent burn scars make conditions even more dangerous, and county officials have issued mandatory or I should say evacuation warnings, which could turn into mandatory orders, including the Eden Fire burn zone, where there are about 120 homes in this area. Now, deputies have been going door-to-door in these high-risk areas. The sheriff urging people to take these warnings seriously, saying waiting too long could put lives at risk. So the bottom line is this morning, the start of this very powerful holiday storm. If you live near a burn area, have a plan, stay alert, and be ready to move quickly if conditions change. And we've already seen sheriff's deputies, as well as L.A. County public works crews driving through the area, keeping a very close eye on the conditions. And we'll have updates here on Good Day L.A., we'll be following this storm as it moves through Southern California, a very powerful one, and we can definitely feel it along with those strong winds this morning. We do see those K-rails there, and I know you've been in that area over the past several days, several weeks, so I imagine the residents there have pretty much prepared, they've got in their sandbags and things like that, so they're pretty fortified, but that's quite a sight, the amount of rainfall in there at this particular time. Yeah, this is Loma Alta Drive and Glen Allen Lane, so we know that some residents have decided to stay despite those evacuation warnings, and we're sort of taking a look around to see if there are any residents nearby, but the roads are clear, and that's a good sign because officials are urging if you don't have to be on the roads with this type of storm moving through, today is definitely not the day to, you know, not take that advice, Bob. Yeah, it is a Christmas Eve morning, and certainly people are going to be out and about as the sun comes out, we see the sun with daylight. All right, Mario, thank you, we'll check in with you.
