Snow is forecast to impact several cities downwind of the Great Lakes, including Detroit, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Cleveland, and Albany, as well as areas in New England. The snowfall is expected to continue through Saturday morning, with a coastal storm from the southeast potentially bringing additional snow to coastal areas, including Foxboro during a divisional playoff weekend.

This weather pattern is consistent with the season's trend, bringing significant snow to regions downwind of the Great Lakes. Residents and travelers in affected areas are advised to prepare for winter weather conditions.

Here comes the snow, though more light snow pushing over Detroit. You'll be back in this. We'll get some snow down toward Indianapolis, Cincinnati. We'll get it into Buffalo again, Syracuse, Rochester, Cleveland, Albany, and even down into New England and through here as we work our way through Saturday morning. And it's kind of interesting if you watch close enough, there's that coastal storm that's going to come up from the southeast. It looks like it will bring snow all the way to the coast, maybe even some snow for our friends in Foxboro as we watch the Patriots take on the Houstons. It's divisional playoff weekend. A lot of snow downwind of the Great Lakes and it's really been that kind of a season.
