In these images posted on social media, mourners continued their calls for an end to the regime, chanting death to Hamani. Meanwhile, the regime held funerals for soldiers, like this one in Hamadan, where the coffins of security forces were carried through the streets. Or this one in Tehran, where regime supporters responded to Donald Trump's threats to strike the country. The US claims to help us, but that's a total lie. There's still no security in Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya or Iraq, where the US has interfered. Wherever it goes, it brings chaos and inflicts irreparable damage to local communities. We're only after our oil and energy resources, showing no compassion for the Iranian people. At funerals, in the streets and on the diplomatic front, it is a moment of de-escalation. According to an Arab diplomat, top officials from Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar raised concerns with Washington over the possibility of a US military intervention. They fear it could further destabilize the region. After posting on social media that help for the Iranian people was on the way, Donald Trump has in recent days shifted his tone, saying he believes executions and killings of protesters have ceased. But at an emergency UN Security Council meeting, one that the US requested, its envoy said strikes have not been ruled out. All options are on the table to stop the slaughter. And no one should know that better than the leadership of the Iranian regime. The Iranian regime in turn has posted images of the head of the judiciary interrogating protesters, raising fears of forced confessions, in what is the bloodiest crackdown to date of the Iranian people's anti-regime movement.
