The reunion was described as emotional and overwhelming by her owners, who expressed relief and gratitude. Bami was finally located near a river after several sightings on trail and security cameras, and was safely guided back to her family.

This is a reunion 54 days in the making. That is how long Bami the dog was missing in North Vancouver. Tonight, she is back with her owners. So what happened? Bami managed to survive in the woods for nearly two months and with the help of the community, she's finally home. That reunion makes our moment. It was honestly overwhelming in the best way. We started that search from the very first day and were with her until the very end. She covered a lot of ground. It feels like our family is whole again. She was missing for just over two months. This was an unusually long case. Finally we got a sighting. She ended up on the side of a pretty heavy flowing river. She was super, super skinny and so we were getting really worried. We kind of flushed her out towards where we set up the owners. As soon as she got that sense of her owner and her tail went up and the reunion was on, she was super, super happy. She saw me and ran towards me. I couldn't believe it was really happening. Pet is not just pet, more meaningful. I felt so relieved and grateful. She must have been tired. The thing is Bami was caught on trail camera and security surveillance cameras as you saw there many, many times but she would only ever stay in one place for like a few hours at a time so it made it really difficult to catch her. So glad they did.
