A young entrepreneur was stabbed in the driveway of a relative’s home in Pemulwuy just moments after he pulled up, with police still on the hunt for the two hooded men who ambushed him and left him for dead.

Luke Manassa, aged 21, was fatally stabbed outside a residence on Pummel Way. According to police, two individuals were waiting for him and attacked him as he arrived home. Despite attempting to escape by driving away, Manassa succumbed to his injuries nearby as residents tried to help. 

Police have stated that the attack was targeted and not random, with potential links to Sydney gangs being investigated. The suspects, described as two males in dark clothing, were last seen running into bushland, and police searches have so far not located them. Authorities continue to appeal for information as the investigation progresses.

Last night, as he pulled into the driveway of this Pummel Way home, two people were waiting for him, stabbing the 21-year-old multiple times. He was attacked outside the premises. He's attempted to get away, however succumbed to his injuries. Just, like, really hysterical, like, a woman screaming, like, multiple times. And then the guy just, yeah, hopped in the ute and just drove as fast as he could down the road. Luke was able to drive about 600 metres away from the two who stabbed him, but he died as nearby residents tried to save his life. I thought it was safe here because it's new block, but now it's, like, worrying. Police say this wasn't a random, extreme act of violence. It was targeted. Links between the incident and Sydney gangs are a strong line of inquiry for detectives. The mail and the location are known to police, so that will form part of our investigation. The main focus for police is finding these two attackers. They were last seen running south on Driftway Drive and into bushland. That's where police searched today, but there's no sign yet of the two people responsible. Information we have at the moment is there were two males in dark clothing. So far, no leads as to who was behind this attack and why they wanted a young man dead. Samara Gardner for 10 News First.
