Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, where a 31-year-old man was injured. The incident took place at 3113 Church Street near East 31st Street, and the victim was transported to Kings County Hospital with a stab wound to the torso.

Authorities report that the victim is in stable condition. The suspect fled eastbound on Church Avenue, and police have not yet determined the motive for the attack. The investigation is ongoing.

Police sources tell us that they're not yet sure exactly what could have led up to this act of violence. That all unfolding on 3113 Church Street near East 31st Street. Police tell us that that 31-year-old victim was stabbed in the torso and then taken to Kings County Hospital where he's said to be stable. And police sources say that this person that they're looking for behind this took off eastbound on Church Avenue. Their investigation into this remains ongoing.
