Hakimi Azim Rosli scored the decisive goal for Malaysia just before halftime, and despite brief tensions at the final whistle, Malaysia secured third place after qualifying for the semifinals as the best second-placed team from the group stage.

The final whistle brought brief tensions as both teams tussled before eventually shaking hands. Malaysia takes bronze, completing their impressive run after qualifying for the semifinals as the best second-placed side from the group stage.
