While significant power disruptions are not expected due to the absence of strong winds, officials warn that slippery roads could lead to an increase in car accidents. Residents are advised to drive cautiously and report any outages or downed wires to PSCG Long Island's 24-hour service number or to emergency services.

Yeah, we, as you mentioned, we are prepared to respond to any outages these holiday storm systems may bring. We continue to monitor weather, watching you as well, and have performed system and logistics checks to ensure any customers who may be affected will have their power restored safely and as quickly as possible. As you reported, snow accumulation could reach eight inches, but snow usually isn't a significant issue to our system without those gusty winds, which you report we're not expecting. We do sometimes see an increase in car accidents due to slippery roads, so we want to tell our customers to drive safely. Anything else that you're advising customers to do if they do lose power?
