RCMP stated their intention to repeat such operations in the future, while some experts criticized the approach as over-policing vulnerable populations and called for addressing root causes. Community groups reported they were not informed about the initiative, and the closure of a local shelter last year has contributed to ongoing concerns about public disorder.

Moving forward, we hope to have this as a regular staple in our policing service that we provide to the citizens of Leduc. A goal of the project was to connect vulnerable people with community support and resources. RCMP say seven people accepted follow-up services, however one policing expert says those solutions aren't effective. This isn't community policing, this is over-policing a certain population, and that population needs assistance, but they need assistance through so many more things than just policing. We need to go to the root cause, we need to address those things from the root cause, not using police as the solve. Last year, the Leduc Hub, an overnight shelter, closed its doors.
