At least six people were killed in a suicide bombing at the Frontier Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar, Pakistan. Three attackers targeted the paramilitary complex, with two detonating suicide vests and the third being killed by security forces. 

The attack resulted in the deaths of three security personnel and three attackers. Pakistani authorities have intensified operations against the Tariq-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and have warned Afghan authorities that further attacks could prompt cross-border action. The situation remains particularly sensitive in areas bordering Afghanistan.

Now, at least six people have been killed in a suicide bombing in Pakistan. It happened in the northwestern city of Peshawar. Police say a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the entrance of the paramilitary force headquarters. Al Jazeera's Kamal Haider joins us live now from Islamabad. Kamal, sir, what more details are emerging about this latest attack on this paramilitary complex in Peshawar? Kamal? Well, first of all, this is the Frontier Constabulary, which is a paramilitary force. Their headquarter is in the heart of the city in Peshawar, as you mentioned. Three attackers, two of them with suicide jackets, attacked the gate. One of the attackers blew himself at that gate, killing at least three of the security forces personnel who were employed to guard that gate. Two of them then got inside the second suicide bomber, also detonating his jacket. And the third one was also killed by the security forces. So three attackers killed, three security forces personnel killed in an audacious attack early morning in a highly secure area of the city. Yeah, and Kamal, it's significant because we've seen a rising number of attacks on military infrastructure lately. What's the government doing to stop all this? Well, first of all, what the government is saying, and that is the security forces, that they have killed a hundred TTP fighters near the Afghan border in what was formerly the Pakistani tribal area. In the past few weeks, they have killed over a hundred of them. So they have, of course, intensified their intelligence-based operations to try and hit the Tariq-e-Taliban Pakistan fighters wherever they find them. Indeed, this is an escalation, given the fact that Pakistan had made it quite clear to their Afghan colleagues on the other side that such attacks are totally unacceptable, that Pakistan reserves the right to strike deep inside Afghanistan against the Tariq-e-Taliban Pakistan fighters if these attacks continue. So indeed, this is a sensitive situation prevailing, and particularly along the bordering regions with Afghanistan.
