With the Las Vegas Raiders just hours away from kicking off training camp right here in Henderson, here are a few takeaways from head coach Pete Carroll's press conference about what Raider Nation needs to know about their team this upcoming season. My expectations are about as high as they can get. Number one, the silver and black are so far so good on meeting expectations. We just finished the conditioning test. They look great. Yeah, so guys have really worked out hard to get back to this and that's the first indication that you get that everybody's mindful and they're aware of what's coming. Number two, what's coming is to be determined on the defensive line and how new starting quarterback Geno Smith will lead under center. We have to gain a lot of information about the guys up front on defense for sure. We've got to make sure that the offense comes together with what Geno's really equipped to do. We've got to find out about Ashton, you know, see where he fits in. Number three, first round draft pick Ashton Gente and the rookies have a shot at making an immediate impact. I'm not afraid to play the young guys. They're on. They better be ready. They got to go. We're putting them in there. And finally, number four, Raiders training camp is for locals. We're going to make camp as accessible as we can to our people that want to come see us. And so the invitation is out there. I just think it's important for us this first year to be connected as much as possible to our fans that live here.
