A Kansas City family got to meet the stars of "Ted Lasso" as the TV show films its new season.

Cast members from the popular television show "Ted Lasso," including Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, were spotted filming in Kansas City. Local fans, including the Brown family, gathered at the filming location, with some waiting for hours in the heat to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars.

The Brown family's children, Ian and Rory, were especially excited to meet the cast in person, describing the experience as a dream come true. The family shared emotional moments together, with the visit marking a significant memory for them as the show begins filming its fourth season in Kansas City.

All right, almost as good as Andy Reed. Ted Lasso as a coach, and if you haven't heard by now, Ted Lasso was in town yesterday. In fact, we spotted crews on the plaza, including Jason Sudeikis, wearing what looked to be like a Kasey Courant gear shirt. Hannah Waddingham wearing a Charlie Hustle, Kasey Hart shirt. Fans who were there, they couldn't really hide that excitement either. He's always wearing a lot of Kansas City Barbecue t-shirts and stuff throughout the show, so it's kind of cool to pick those things out throughout it. It was great, I'm glad that I can be a part of it. That made me feel special. Miss Beatrice, I know that's right. Tonight we're following up with a family who braved yesterday's heat for hours just to see some of their favorite stars. KSHB 41 News reporter Fernanda Silva has the story. This has been the talk of the town. I'm KSHB reporter Fernanda Silva, and I was out for a walk on Monday as I saw Ted Lasso being recorded right here. Then there was a Kansas City family celebrating, and I had to ask them, why are you guys so excited? The Brown family is a busy one. One, two, three, here's 10. But on Monday, they stopped everything they were doing to watch some dreams come true. Ian couldn't wait any longer. He was about to see cast members of his favorite show ever in person in his hometown. Oh my God, I felt perfectly, really so excited. He found his way through the crowd and talked to stars of the show Ted Lasso. He went up and went to embrace them, and they embraced him back. Ian's impression? Ted Lasso is so cute. Ian shares his love for the show with his brother Rory. I looked over at my brother Ian, and he was just as excited as I was. I looked at mom, and her eyes were getting teary. This is what you love as a parent. They were sharing that moment together. Rory has seen the show more than 10 times. He knows the lines by heart. I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments. Learning the fourth season was going to be recorded in Kansas City was like music to their ears.
