The Israeli military responded to reports of settler violence but found no suspects, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that those responsible for attacks on Palestinians would be brought to justice.

The date of the footage was verified from original filed metadata. The location was verified from the cars and terrain visible in the eyewitness footage, which also matched Reuters aftermath footage. Mohamed Ouda said settlers attacked his auto repair business, coming through the olive fields, setting fire to the site, then moved to the highway. The Israeli military said that soldiers responded to reports overnight of Israeli civilians hurling rocks toward Palestinian vehicles and setting fire to property in the Huwara area. In a statement, the military said Israeli soldiers carried out searches in the area but found no suspects. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier this week he would meet with cabinet ministers to ensure that Israelis involved in attacks on Palestinians are brought to justice. He called those responsible a quote small extremist group. While an October 10 ceasefire has largely ended the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas militants, the West Bank is experiencing increasing violence. Mourners on Friday near Ramallah bore the bodies of two teenagers shot and killed by Israeli forces during an overnight raid.
