Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also weighed in. Israel supports the Iranian struggles for freedom, and condemns in the strongest terms the mass killings of innocent civilians. We all hope that the Persian nation will soon be freed from the yoke of tyranny. Iran's President Massoud Pazeshkian blamed old foes for his country's unrest. The enemy intended to disrupt our society, and bring division among us. On a live Iranian state television broadcast, Iran's parliament speaker warned the U.S. military and Israel would be legitimate targets if the U.S. strikes the Islamic Republic. He was then joined by other lawmakers shouting, death to America. According to reports citing anonymous U.S. officials, Trump was briefed on military options for a strike on Iran over the weekend, but has yet to make a final decision.
