India's stock market has demonstrated notable resilience during recent global sell-offs, with the Nifty Fifty index maintaining an uptrend and trading close to all-time highs in local currency terms. Positive performance from the banking sector, particularly in lending and money flow, has supported this trend.

Although the upcoming G20 meeting in India has historically led to increased market volatility due to uncertainty among global leaders, this volatility typically subsides after the event. Overall, the Indian stock market remains attractive despite these temporary uncertainties.

Indian markets in good shape amid global turmoil

India has been pretty resilient in all of this little bit of a sell-off here that we've seen over the last few weeks. When you look at the nifty-fifty really trading near all-time highs, I guess if you kind of discount it in terms of dollars, maybe not quite near its all-time highs, but certainly an uptrend. If you're a technical trader, it's had like a little bit of a breakout in the most recent weeks here. So India has been pretty resilient in all of this, amazingly. And so we continue to get good news out of the banks in India in terms of the lending and the flow of money going around there. So the stock market there looks to be in good shape, regardless of whether the G20 meeting is coming to India or not. What I have noticed, I will say this, though, is ahead of G20 meetings, for whatever reason, the stock market historically does not like all these people meeting with each other for whatever reason. It kind of creates some volatility until that meeting goes through. We see this somewhat release of volatility. But there is a little bit of angst of parties that maybe don't really like each other sitting down across the table and trying to negotiate some things. So certainly that's something to watch what will come out of that. But in terms of the India stock market, I do like it.
