Once upon a time, in a world where most people ran away from tornadoes, two hearts were drawn toward them. Everyone was outside playing in the pool, or playing outside, and I was glued to hurricane coverage, weather coverage. It was the tornado outbreak of April 7th, 2006, and a tornado missed our house by three houses, and ever since then I've been interested in weather. They chased Storm solo, until their forecasts started lining up, literally. The first thing I remember was seeing her, and I'm like, wow, okay, yeah this, uh, when I got back in the truck I was like, well that went way better than what I was expecting, uh, okay then. They teamed up, hit the road, and found beauty in the stormiest skies. We love to get close, our forecasting style was always the same. With an EF2 tornado spinning in an open field behind them, Bryce dropped to one knee. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it! I'm pretty sure she said yes, y'all. I said yes, yes, of course I said yes, you crazy nut! Later, with crocs on her feet and rain in her hair, Paige recreated the magic moment. They kept chasing even after the proposal, because love is powerful, but so is duty. Because that's, that's the whole point of us being there, yeah, we get video and stuff, but warning the public is our main priority, um, we're the ground truth for the NWS, the Storm Prediction Center. After all, even in a fairy tale, heroes still file reports to the National Weather Service.
