Consumer savings expert Andrea Warrock provided guidance on how shoppers can secure the best deals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. She explained that the most significant discounts on technology products are typically found on Black Friday, while clothing and footwear are better purchased on Cyber Monday or during post-holiday clearance events.

Warrock also recommended using store loyalty programs, price tracking tools, cashback apps, and AI-powered shopping assistants to maximize savings. Additionally, she highlighted the importance of shopping at retailers with generous price match guarantees, such as Target's holiday policy, to ensure customers can benefit from price drops throughout the season.

How to get the best Black Friday deals this year

And for many, Thanksgiving is a holiday to spend time with family, reflect on what you're grateful for. For others, it's all about the sales, okay? We've been seeing Black Friday creep starting earlier than ever with deals dropping in early November. Like all week. Constantly fluctuating. You're right. I was looking today and there are some amazing deals out there. So first of all, focus on the best buys on Black Friday will be on tech like gaming consoles, headphones, smart home devices, really anything with a plug, which includes small kitchen gadgets, as well as vacuums, and I'm even seeing some selective beauty tool deals of about 40 to 50% off. Now some things you do want to wait to buy, Cyber Monday typically welcomes bigger discounts on clothing, footwear. That's when we see these site-wide sales. And winter apparel, if it's not a gift, wait until after the holidays. That's when you'll get those clearance sales, and bedding will be better in January during those white sale events. But yes, there are some tools to help you determine if you're getting a good deal. Okay, what are those tools? Okay, so first of all, sign up for the store's loyalty program. This could get you a new subscriber coupon that you can stack on top of the sale. Of up to almost 25% off, you'll get rewards, free shipping both ways. You also want to track price history using tools like camel, camel, camel.com. There's also Amazon Rufus tool on their own website. And to sweeten the deal, make sure you are using cashback apps.
