Nintendo has released Donkey Kong Bonanza, marking the iconic character's return to 3D platforming after nearly two decades. The game is available on the Switch 2 and features Donkey Kong navigating a vast underground world, utilizing his strength to destroy much of the terrain around him.

Players can choose between smashing through obstacles or exploring platforming sections, with the freedom to approach levels in various ways. The game emphasizes both action and exploration, offering a modern take on the classic franchise.

Nintendo's banana-loving ape is back in Donkey Kong Bonanza! Donkey Kong Bonanza is a brand new Donkey Kong adventure. In fact, his first brand new 3D platforming adventure in almost 20 years. And he is trying to make his way through a vast underground realm. Exploring his way through, not only with his platforming skills by running, jumping, and climbing, but also by pretty much smashing absolutely everything in his way. He's a big, powerful, powerful Kong. So he can basically punch in any direction. He punches up, he punches down, he punches sideways. Almost all the terrain that you run into in varying layers of this underground world is just destroyable. Even though you can destroy almost everything around you, it isn't necessarily the best path at all times. There's great platforming sections, there's a ton of exploration to do.
