The 4.5-kilometre route, which runs every 30 seconds, is expected to serve over 10,000 passengers daily, significantly reducing travel times compared to buses.

The cable car, costing 138 million euros, is part of a broader initiative to enhance public transport in and around Paris, including the construction of four new metro lines. Authorities view this project as a potential model for other cities, with additional cable car lines planned for the future.

It will bring people together in both directions, for visitors to Creté or in the other direction for shopping or work. Until recently, Creté was a blind spot in the Paris transport network. In the chronically congested Ile-de-France region around Paris, commuters faced long, exhausting bus journeys. The new cable car is now expected to transport over 10,000 passengers a day along its 4.5-kilometre route, running every 30 seconds. Looking at the studies, we quickly realised that a cable car was the best solution. Other infrastructure, like a new bus lane or a tram, would have meant much more extensive and complex construction work with overpasses and costs on a different scale. The new cable car, which costs a total of 138 million euros, is part of a major public transport initiative in and around Paris. Four new metro lines are also currently being built at great expense. The aim is to improve connections between the Parisian suburbs. It may be the first project of its kind here, but it certainly won't be the last. More will follow in the coming years, but they take time. Certain projects are expected to take five or even ten years. The new cable car may serve as a model for other cities and let commuters rise above it all.
