Sloan's rapid political ascent comes just two years after winning the seat of Orcluse. As she prepares for the state election in 15 months, Sloan acknowledged the challenges ahead and expressed readiness to lead her team into the campaign.

Our priority has to be energy reliability and affordability and we need to keep the lights on. Kelly Sloan has had one of the fastest ascensions to political leadership in Australian history, just two years since she took out the seat of Orcluse for the Liberal Party. It's one of Australia's richest seats and today, this photo re-emerged of her eating caviar on a super yacht. I don't think I need to re-brand based on one picture from a decade ago at the Sydney Boat Show where I was chuffed to have an opportunity to tour that boat. But if that's the worst they can come up with, then I think I'm off to a good start. The state election is just 15 months away. I don't underestimate the challenge ahead of us, but I am ready for the fight and as a team, we are ready for the fight.
