Von der Leyen also discussed ongoing European efforts to rebalance a US-proposed peace plan and stressed the principle of including all relevant parties in negotiations. She reiterated her preference for using 210 billion euros in frozen Russian assets within the EU to provide financial support to Ukraine.

To provide financial support to Ukraine, Ursula von der Leyen reminded the House that she had proposed three options and made no secret of her preference for the reparation loan, which involves using frozen Russian assets valued at 210 billion euros in the EU.
