At least 16 documents from the U.S. Department of Justice's release of files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation have disappeared from the DOJ website shortly after publication. Among the missing files are images involving U.S. President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as paintings depicting nude women.

House Democrats on the Oversight Committee are seeking answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi about the removal of these files, while victims' families and advocates express frustration over the incomplete release and lack of new information. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has stated that several hundred thousand more documents are expected to be released in the coming weeks.

We need transparency for the American public. This has deepened the already present concerns over the DOJ's handling of the release. The department has already gone against its legal obligations by not publishing the files in their entirety by the 19th of December. Documents made public so far have not offered a lot of new information about Epstein's crimes. Frustration regarding the release was also shared by families of victims. We can hold them in contempt if they do decide to, you know, redact perpetrators, if they don't release the items that we know they need to release. And so we're going to do our due diligence, you know, between us, the survivors, the lawyers. We know what should be in there and we're going to comb through every single page and we're going to hold them accountable. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said he expected several hundred thousand more documents to be released over the coming weeks.
