The conference focused on enhancing cooperation in economic development, trade, industrialization, and other key sectors.

Participants agreed to continue coordinating efforts in international forums, specifically advocating for reforms to the UN Security Council and Bretton Woods institutions to better represent African interests and the current global balance of power. Representatives from several African and regional organizations were also present at the event.

Egypt's foreign minister spoke highly of a meeting between African leaders and Russia, calling it an opportunity to strengthen economic and trade ties. Cairo hosted the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum on Saturday. The two-day conference was attended by Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, and ministers from more than 50 African countries. Undoubtedly, the conference also provided an important opportunity to explore specific opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the Russian Federation and African countries in the areas of economic development, supporting industrialization, expanding trade, encouraging joint investments, building capacity, achieving food and water security, technology transfer, cultural cooperation and exchanging experiences. The summit gained special momentum after the 2023 summit in St. Petersburg. We have decided to continue coordinating our efforts in various modulatory forums, including with the aim of promoting reform of the UN Security Council, taking into account the legitimate interests of African states, as well as reform of the Bretton Woods institutions, whose composition and practices lag significantly behind the real balance of power in the global economy. Also in attendance were representatives from several African and regional organizations, according to a statement by the Egyptian foreign ministry.
