Despite the setback, Horne managed to safely stop the sled after reaching speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. The American team was left in disbelief by the mishap, but no injuries were reported.

The 35-year-old nailing this intricate jump in the Winter Olympic qualifiers in America. It didn't go to plan though for the US bobsleigh team in Switzerland though. Three of the four team members failing to scramble onto the sled, leaving the driver to go it alone in a frightening solo run. Absolute disaster for the Americans, they can't believe it. And Chris Horne knows that he's still going to be doing 85, 90 miles an hour with not enough weight to control the sled. Horne skillfully making his way to the back of the sled to access the brakes and safely come to a stop.
