Russia continues to remain open to a settlement but the settlement must lead to the elimination of the root causes of this conflict. That's what we talk about all the time. European support for Ukraine is not unanimous. On Thursday Hungary which has a cozy relationship with Russia said EU efforts are fruitless. The war has been going on for almost four years now and Russia has been occupying more and more Ukrainian territories. Plus the sanctions have not pushed the Russian economy on its knees so I think saying that the time is on the side of Ukraine is an illusion.
