Since arriving, the soft-spoken Beauchette was a fan favourite. And questions about his future started immediately after Toronto's heartbreaking World Series loss. It's been an incredible journey. I've obviously grown up here in so many different ways. Beauchette is the second big-name free agent this week to snub the Jays. Outfielder Kyle Tucker, coveted by Toronto, chose the Dodgers. It would be easy to sort of dismiss the Blue Jays as also-rans when it comes to free agency, but I think it would also be a mistake. This team is committed to spending.
