WWE superstar Roxanne Perez will participate in a tag team match alongside Raquel Rodriguez and discusses her role in the Judgment Day faction, as well as her pursuit of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships with Liv Morgan.

Perez shares her early start in wrestling, training under Booker T, and highlights her passion for mental health advocacy. She emphasizes the importance of self-care for athletes and encourages practices such as writing and meditation, especially for those frequently on the road.

WWE returns to Tampa on the WWE live holiday tour at Benchmark International Arena on Friday, December 27. We are so happy to be joined by WWE superstar, Roxanne Perez. Great to see you today, Roxanne. I know what a lot of people must do to you because they do it to me. They sing the police song all the time. Yeah, this is your wrestling name. But do you like the name Roxanne? I love it. Yeah, I actually got to choose my wrestling name. So So yeah, I love the name Roxanne. Very cool. I love my name. I'm a name narcissist. I used to hate it when I was a kid. But then I love it as an adult because it's unique. Okay, let's get it. You should. Let's get to the good stuff. Because you've got this event, you're coming to town. I know you're your partner, you're doing a tag team event with Raquel Rodriguez, give us a little preview. Yeah, so right now, I'm a part of the Judgment Day, the best most iconic faction in WWE history, alongside Liv Morgan, and a just returning Liv Morgan, Dominic Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD, and Raquel Rodriguez. And right now, Raquel Rodriguez has her sides on the Women's World Championship. So myself and Liv Morgan will be going after the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Okay, we will be getting them back. Yes, I love it. I should know this. I should know this. But are you a heel or a baby face? Because I'm loving it watching you walk in with that attitude. But it could go either way. What are you right now? I'm currently a heel and I love it. I love being a heel. It's so much fun. It's just it's so fun to dive into a different character because I myself was never a heel. So this has been just so so much fun. See, you probably sleep really well after after a performance like that, because you get out, you're probably this really nice person in real life. And then you get all that. Yeah, I just let all that anger out there. Exactly. You know, you've got a fascinating, you know, entry into this. I know you were known as the prodigy you started at a really young age. Talk about how you got into it and why you wanted to be a part of this world. Um, yeah, so I was a big fan of it since I could remember, I think I first saw wrestling when I was about 10 years old. And I just immediately fell in love and was like, this is exactly what I'm gonna do when I'm older and nothing is going to stop me. So I started training when I was 13. Thankfully, my mom and my stepdad were so so supportive. So I started training at 13 in Laredo, Texas. And then when I was about 16, I started hopping on Greyhound buses when I had time off for school. And I would go and drive six hours to Houston, Texas to train there with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. So he really, really got me ready for the big stage and WWE and NXT and everything that comes with it. So yeah, just putting in the hard work and putting in those 10,000 hours. And now finally, my, my dreams are real. So yeah, well, I know. It's amazing. I love this, this rise that you've had. And you're also a big mental health advocate, too, right? You do? Yeah, yes. Yeah. Mental health is something that I'm pretty passionate about, passionate about just because, you know, I feel like everybody, regardless of the circumstances you grew up in, everybody needs to take care of their mental health. And whether that's writing, whether that's just having time for yourself and meditating or whatever works best for you, but especially just us being on the road to, I think it's really important for us to take care of our mental health as athletes and just everyone in general. For sure, for sure. You're you're a great representative of that. And a lovely person had so much fun catching up with you.
