A winter weather system is moving eastward across the United States, with Wisconsin expected to experience the most severe conditions during the day. The system will bring a mix of rain and snow to Michigan before reaching New England overnight, where many residents may wake up to icy conditions, especially in ski country.

The Hudson Valley, including Albany, will see icy weather starting late in the day, with snow becoming more prevalent as the system moves into northern New England. While snowfall is expected to be significant, there is not enough ice forecasted to cause major problems. However, the weather is expected to shift to rain over the weekend, even in traditional snow areas.

But here's what we're looking at again, everything kind of shifting east as we work our way through the morning hours. Wisconsin seems to be kind of in the worst of this as we go through the day today, okay? And then we kind of move it into Michigan with rain and snow mixture here. Then we get into New England overnight tonight. So a lot of you will wake up to the icy stuff, especially in New England. It'll start late today in parts of the Hudson Valley. There you see Albany just kind of waiting for it, boom, six, seven, and then boom, we bring it into parts of Northern New England. Mostly it's snow though. There's enough cold air locked into ski country that it's gonna be snow. Now I-95 could get a little tricky as you cross over from Massachusetts into New Hampshire for what is it, 18 miles? I can't remember, you know, smallest coastline, and then continue on to the north. Snow will be great. Again, it's been an absolutely epic year and no reason why to cut that. We're not gonna have enough ice to cause a problem. Enjoy this snow though, because as we get into the weekend system and we'll talk about that, it's gonna be a lot of rain, even up into ski country, so get ready for that.
