Will Machado's Nobel affect Trump's actions in Venezuela?

Donald Trump finally got his peace prize. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't the one he has been talking about so much since he returned to the White House. I think I'm going to get a Nobel Prize for a lot of things. Instead, it was the FIFA peace prize, which seems to have been specifically created for him. Even still, Trump is closer to the Nobel Peace Prize than he has ever been. Because this year's winner, Venezuelan opposition figure Maria Corina Machado, has already dedicated the prize to none other than Donald J. Trump. But wait, hasn't Trump ordered airstrikes on Venezuelan boats in the Caribbean? Didn't Trump deport Venezuelans to El Salvador, where they were imprisoned in the infamous Secod Mega Prison? And isn't Trump openly threatening airstrikes inside Venezuela or even military intervention there? Why would a Venezuelan Nobel Peace Prize laureate dedicate her prize to this guy? Well, Machado is a bit of a controversial figure herself. The Nobel Peace Prize committee may have emphasized her struggle for a just and peaceful transition from Nicolas Maduro's dictatorship to democracy in Venezuela. Critics say she has repeatedly called for U.S. military intervention. She also supports Donald Trump's disputed claim that Maduro is the head of a drug-smuggling cartel. That is the controversial allegation the U.S. has used to justify the military strikes on drug boats. And Machado was silent when the Trump administration revoked the protected status of Venezuelans who sought refuge in the U.S. and began deporting them to El Salvador. While Machado's Nobel Prize may not satisfy Trump's goal of getting one himself, at least she is acting as if he really deserves it and fully supports him and whatever his end goal might be in Venezuela. Maybe she will even let him hold it. I didn't say, then give it to me, though. I think she might have. She was very nice.
