President Trump announced Monday he will allow Nvidia to sell its advanced H200 computer chips to "approved customers" in China, but Mr. Trump said the deal does not include Nvidia's more advanced Blackwell system or its soon-to-be-released Rubin system.

President Trump has stated that the United States will permit Nvidia to sell some of its AI chips, specifically the H200 products, to approved customers in China and other countries. According to the announcement, 25% of the sales revenue from these chips will be paid to the US. 

The approval does not extend to Nvidia's most advanced AI chips, which remain restricted. Trump also mentioned that he informed Chinese President Xi Jinping of the decision, and that Xi responded positively to the news.

But first, we get to breaking news. President Trump says the US will allow Nvidia to sell some of its AI chips in China. Trump made the announcement on social media today, adding that quote, 25% will be paid to the USA. The president's approval only applies to Nvidia's so called H200 products. Trump says those chips can now be sold to, quote, approved customers in China and other countries, but that Nvidia's most advanced chips are not included in this deal. Trump also added in his post that he informed Chinese President Xi Jinping of the move and that she quote responded positively.
