Among them is Sean DeShane, who uses his design experience to create a truck featuring an oil derrick and tributes to loved ones, including his late stepdaughter. DeShane also uses the vehicle to support fundraising efforts, reflecting the community support he received during his stepdaughter's illness.

Another fan, Clint Cantell, owns a Zamboni decorated with Oilers decals, which he originally purchased for his backyard rink. Cantell has used the Zamboni to celebrate the Oilers' playoff run, bringing together community members and teaching his children about the importance of unity. These themed vehicles have become symbols of local pride and camaraderie during the team's pursuit of the Stanley Cup.

In the NHL playoffs, many Oilers fans deck out their vehicles with their horns to match. But some are just a little louder and bigger. Who are the fans behind the wheels? This truck is kind of its own persona. Sean DeShane uses his 30 years of design experience for his truck, equipped with an oil derrick constructed by his sons. The name of his stepdaughter, Shayla Wischloff, sits on the side, a tribute after she died of cancer. Along with late names of others connected to the team, driving the truck toward good causes. I like to get into the fundraising aspect because it was a big part of what I did with my stepdaughter and we had so many good people reach out and help us. So it's just a very fulfilling thing to be able to help others do the same thing. And yes, this is a Zamboni decked out in Oilers decals. It was driven around Rodgers' place for game six of the 2024 Stanley Cup final. It was not like anything else. It sits northwest of Edmonton in Onaway. Clint Cantell, a gas fitter by trade, bought it for a backyard rink. He says it was always something he wanted and he says using it to celebrate the Oilers Cup run has taught his kids about community. It's bringing the community together where you can actually come up and they want to see it. Bring people together, whether you're a hockey fan or not. You're cheering for the home team. It's definitely great. If it does something for somebody, gives them a smile, gives them a charge, I'll never get sick of that.
